Ilya Maletin is a champion, finalist or runner up of numerous Canadian, US and European National and International professional Latin Dance competitions. That includes La Classique Du Quebec 2013, The Yankee Classic and Dancesport Montreal in 2009, Holiday Classic in Las Vegas in 2010, Canadian Open Latin in 2011, Montreal Dancesport and Professional Latin and Can-Am DanceSport Gala Professional in 2012.
Most recently, with his new accomplished dance partner Yulia Zavadskaja, he was classified among the best fifty dancers in London Blackpool International dance competition.
Ilya’s dance journey began at the age of seven in Russia. Under the guidance of Russian dance masters, he showed a lot of talent, true enthusiasm and perseverance and quickly became one of the best dancers in the country in his age category. In 2008, shortly after graduation from Radiotechnical University in Ekaterinburg in Russia, he immigrated to Canada to continue his true passion of dancing.
Currently he travels extensively in North America to train and competes at professional level. As a professional dancer he continuously improves and updates his skill of dancing and dance teaching by interaction with the word's top dancers like Shirley Ballas. Having won many titles he has proven to be a truly talented dancer and also presented himself as an excellent dance teacher for children and adults.

Yuliya Zavadska was born in the dancing family in Ukraine. Her parents started their own dance studio when she was just a toddler.
This studio has recently celebrated it's 25th anniversary. It gave the dancing world many Ukrainian dance champions and nationally recognized dancers.
Yuliya successfully represented Ukraine in European and World Championships since very young age. In 2005 she began to dance for Poland following a new partnership and became the Polish National 10 Dance vice-champion.Ramon joined the Dance With Us Ottawa teaching staff in 2012. His speciality includes Cuban style Salsa, Bachata, and Merengue, as well as other Caribbean Club dances.
Ramon most recently was a performer and choreographer at Club de Animation Colonial in Cuba, where he dances Salsa, Meringue, Rumba, Bachata, and Jazz in nightly shows.
Ramon has been a choreographer and instructor in Cuban Style dance since 2001 in Cuba, performing in night clubs, resorts, and other venues to the delight of tourists and nationals alike!
All of our Professional Teaching staff are available for private, semi-private, and group lessons. Disciplines include: International Latin and Standard, American Smooth and Rhythm, Social Ballroom and Latin, Club dances such as Sals , Bachat. Ilya, Yuliya, Yuriy, and Oksana are available for teaching private, semi-private and group lessons in Social, American Smooth, International Latin and Ballroom styles, as well as Salsa, Bachata and Merengue.
